Our approach
For us at Caffè Borbone, sustainability comes first: the coffee sector has many sensitive aspects and we feel it is our responsibility to adopt a positive approach in creating a responsible supply chain, starting from coffee sourcing and throughout the life cycle of our products. We are committed on a daily basis to contributing to a healthy, inclusive and sustainable global economy, respectful of human rights, labour and nature.
In 2022 we were awarded the “Silver sustainability rating” by the EcoVadis platform, which monitors companies’ sustainability performance, but there is still plenty more to do. Therefore, in order to better target our concrete choices and initiatives, we are drawing inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.

Our commitment to the environment
At Caffè Borbone attention to the environment has always been a central theme. That’s why we are committed to using only raw materials that have been selected with responsibility to the supply chain, using modern, innovative processing methods with special attention to recyclable packaging. We are aware that the road to “zero waste” production is still a long one, but we have ambitious goals and try to minimise waste and rubbish.
In order to limit our environmental impact, we have also chosen to use only renewable energy, partly produced by our own photovoltaic plants and partly purchased through an agreement with a leading energy supplier.

Our support for people
We believe in the value of the people who work with us. They are not just employees, but part of the big Caffè Borbone family. And what do you do as a family when someone is in trouble? You find solutions to get out of it, together. That’s why during the Covid 19 pandemic we took steps to adopt special economic measures to support our employees, through interest-free loans, meal vouchers and a pay rise to reward all those who helped to get through this challenging time through their hard work.
