We take a scientific approach to reducing emissions, following the criteria of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This approach guides our decisions, projects, and processes throughout the entire business lifecycle.

THERMAL ENERGY
Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 and by 90% by 2050. We are working to improve the efficiency of our roasting machines and gradually electrify our fleet.
RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY
We continue to source 100% of our electricity from renewable sources, thanks in part to the solar panels and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at the Caivano plant and logistics hub.
COFFEE SUPPLIERS
Reduce Scope 3 (FLAG) emissions by 30.3% by 2030 and by 72% by 2050. We work with coffee suppliers on ESG qualification, certified coffee batches, and decarbonisation projects, such as those in India and Vietnam.
SUPPLIERS OF OTHER GOODS AND SERVICES
Increase spending with suppliers that have validated SBTi targets to at least 50% by 2026. We work with them on ESG criteria and emissions data.
NET-ZERO
Achieve net-zero by 2050 by reducing emissions across the value chain by 90%. The remaining 10% will be offset with carbon credits.
DEFORESTATION-FREE
Achieve 100% by 2026. We are working to source coffee, paper, and wood from deforestation-free supply chains through EU Deforestation Regulation audits and FSC-certified supplies.
A transformative, global, and future-oriented project.
In India and Vietnam, we support regenerative agriculture projects involving approximately 6,000 metric tonnes of coffee, equal to about 20% of our supply. A transformative journey that pioneers new agricultural practices and contributes to the decarbonisation of the supply chain.
