Every Caffè Borbone compostable capsule is born from a selection of 100% Arabica coffee and a roasting process designed to enhance its aroma, body, and flavour.
The Compostable capsules are certified by the CIC (Italian Composters Consortium) and made from compostable biopolymer, with a filter paper lid.

100% Arabica Blend
For the Compostable range we have chosen a 100% Arabica blend obtained from a selection of coffees from Central America, South America, and Africa.
The result is a coffee with an elegant and persistent aroma, with sweet and round notes that enhance the pleasure of every sip. With an intensity of 6/10, it is ideal for those who prefer a balanced and delicate espresso to enjoy at any time of day.
How the Compostable Capsules Are Made
Every element of the packaging is designed to serve a specific purpose.
The capsule
The capsule is made from compostable biopolymer with a filter paper lid and is certified by the CIC (Italian Composters Consortium). After use, it can be disposed of in the organic waste collection in accordance with local municipality guidelines.
The Freshness Seal
Each capsule is individually protected by a recyclable plastic wrapper that helps preserve aroma and fragrance until use. Once opened, the wrapper should be placed in the plastic waste collection.
The packaging
The box is made from FSC®-certified paper and should be placed in the paper waste collection.
