Our commitment spans every stage of the coffee’s journey: from cultivation to harvesting, processing, packaging, distribution, and finally, the cup. We work across the value chain to improve traceability, engage our partners, and contribute to our sustainability goals.
THE SUPPLY CHAIN
We work with our supply chain partners to improve traceability and promote shared ESG criteria.
We invest in plant efficiency and explore new technologies to reduce energy consumption and emissions.
We rethink materials and packaging solutions, designing them to facilitate recycling and reduce their environmental footprint wherever possible.
We make our coffee available to everyone through various channels and touchpoints.
We help you properly manage the end-of-life of our products.
We aim to build partnerships with suppliers based on creating shared value, through a selection and engagement process that integrates ESG commitments.
Supplier selection
DID YOU KNOW WE HAVE OUR OWN PARTNERSHIP CHARTER?
The Partnership Charter defines the criteria that guide our collaboration with partners in the supply chain.
For us, building partnerships means growing together. We work with approximately 900 suppliers, mostly Italian, about a quarter of whom are based in Campania.
Our goal is to ensure that at least 75% of our spending goes to suppliers who have undergone ESG prequalification and qualification and who have ESG contractual clauses in place by 2026.
Where does our coffee come from?
Our coffee comes from various parts of the world, including Uganda, Vietnam, Brazil, India, Colombia, and Honduras.
When collaborating and working with our supply chain partners, we apply criteria related to quality, traceability, respect for human and labour rights, environmental practices, and governance.
We work together with our partners to gain a deeper understanding of the coffee supply chain, improve its traceability, and contribute to achieving our climate and social goals. To do so, we participate in several sourcing programs, including ofi’s AtSourceV and AtSource+, Neumann Kaffee Gruppe’s NKG Verified, Sucafina’s IMPACT Verified, Louis Dreyfus Company’s Responsible Sourcing Program Advanced, Volcafe’s Volcafe Verified, and Sucden’s Sucden Verified.
Our goal is to source at least 80% of our coffee from certified suppliers by 2026.
