Il Caffè del Birbantello initiative is born in Naples: a special-edition coffee pod range that funds an educational social project for children and young people living in disadvantaged areas across Italy.
Caffè del Birbantello
The coffee we love most is the one we drink at home. It’s that everyday ritual that doesn’t need a special occasion, but simply accompanies the moments that matter: a chat in the kitchen, family laughter, the rhythm of our everyday lives. From this authentic everyday life comes Il Caffè del Birbantello, Caffè Borbone’s educational project that enters Italian primary schools to give children a voice.
2nd Edition
The project expands beyond Campania to reach the whole of Italy.
From this point onwards, the cities where the project is active will change each year, while always keeping its hometown, Naples.
A new awareness theme is introduced: everyday heroes.
3rd Edition
This year, with the support of a partner specifically suited to the project’s goals, Il Caffè del Birbantello becomes part of school curricula, within civic education classes.
The creative concept of everyday heroes is retained, with a specific focus on the figure of the teacher.
4th Edition
After reaching schools across Italy, the 4th Edition will give all schools the opportunity to take part in the project.
Every school will be able to participate, and five schools will be selected, in addition to the school where the project originated.
